The Harrodsburg Flea Mall will be closing its doors on Friday. Right now I have 20% off anything in my booth at the HFM (#987). Just in Holiday Ornaments - mice, pickle, and reindeer bells

I decided to stock some ornaments for fun this year....just in holiday mice, pickle, and reindeer bells. Pickles????? Yep...come get your glass blown pickles for your tree. Legend says the pickle, a symbol of good luck, was the last ornament placed on the tree. The first child to find it on Christmas morning gets an extra gift. Start a fun tradition in your family this year :)

Yep, it's that time already! I'm stocking the Holiday wear so come check it out before you pay big $$ for the same thing! Time to think about those pictures! Lots of girls dresses and boys buttondowns/khaki/cords. Even some dress shoes. Check it out!

Centenary is having a Country Carnival Sunday, October 31 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please pick up a flyer in the Welcome Center lobby for more information. We normally have traditional carnival games with prizes, pony rides, and arts and crafts. A light meal will be served. Come join us!

Single Parent Oil Change at Centenary UMC in Danville Sat, Sept 25 9 to noon

Centenary UMC in Danville is hosting a free single parent oil change! The event is Sept 25 from 9am to noon. Stop by for some fellowship, light breakfast or lunch, and have your oil changed. Centenary is located at the entrance to Millenium Park. The address is 1441 Perryville Rd.

Lil Cherubs Sale - Danville - Centenary United Methodist Church

I just wanted to alert my friends to a wonderful children's resale that takes place here in Danville at Centenary United Methodist Church. The proceeds of the sale benefit several Centenary and local children's charities including VBS, Kid's Morning Out, Backpack Kids, Wilderness Trace, MOPS, Headstart, and more! We have 150 sellers and this is a great resource for back-to-school shopping, toys, shoes, baby items, and more (other than my booth of course!).

Sale dates are August 27th and 28th. The sale is Friday 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. The sale Saturday is 8:30 am to 1 pm.

Congress is looking at a ban on drop side cribs

I'm posting this here as a service to my clients!

Drop-side crib ban goes before Congress
Mon, May 24, 2010 (HealthDay News) -- Drop-side baby cribs could no longer be manufactured, sold or resold in the United States under congressional legislation being proposed this week.
Since 2000, 32 infants and toddlers have suffocated or been strangled in drop-side cribs, which have sides that move up and down to make lifting children in and out easier. Another 14 deaths are suspected, the Associated Press reported.
"There still are thousands and thousands of children who are sleeping every night in drop-side cribs and we need to protect them," said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., sponsor of the proposal that would also ban the cribs from day-care centers and hotels.
Seven million of the cribs have been recalled in the past five years and many stores stopped selling them because of safety concerns. Safety pegs, screws or tracking for the side rail can loosen or break, causing the side to drop and trap a child's head between the rail and the mattress, safety experts say.
Inez Tenenbaum, chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has said the agency intends to make fixed-side cribs mandatory by the end of the year. But it could be well into 2011 before the ruling becomes effective, which is why Gillibrand is involved, the AP said.
Gillibrand described her bill Sunday at a news conference in New York. Two N.Y. counties -- Nassau and Suffolk, on Long Island -- already ban the sale of drop-side cribs, the news service said.

As a service to my readers, I am posting the CPSC infant and child product recalls at the bottom of my blog. These should be current and will be much more efficient than my posting each one. Please take time to check these out...your child's safety may be at stake!
If you have any concerns about a product, you can go to the CPSC website and search for the item and find out if any recalls have been made. PLEASE be cautious when purchasing a used car seat that it is still "in date" and hasn't aged out (over 6 years), has not been recalled, and has NEVER been in a wreck. Also, please be cautious about using older model cribs. Newer cribs have less space between the slats to prevent a child from getting their head stuck. I have heard to check if it is safe by trying to place a coke can between the slats...you should not be able to do so and the crib should be safe. There have been MANY recalls on cribs lately, so be cautious when purchasing a used crib.
Save $$ but be safe when purchasing used infant and children's items :)

Currently at the Harrodsburg Flea Mall I have a really nice solid white baby bassinette. Also just in an Evenflo highchair in a beige/cocoa color scheme. The highchair is $45.

I had a friend drop of 5 boxes of boys summer clothes!! So, when I say I have a lot of boys size 4 and 5 I mean it!! Most are Carters and Old Navy brands. Lots of 2 pc short pj sets too. I've had to divide it up between Danville and Harrodsburg so check them both out.
Also, just in a lot of 0/3 M boys clothes...and I'll be adding more!

I am so excited to put these new items out! Check out my booth for Danville Admiral (Boyle County coming soon!) embroidered items. I also hope to put some Mercer County items in Harrodsburg! I'm a little confused about Mercer County though...so if someone could help me out....it looks like the background color should be red with blue lettering? Or do they just use red, white, and blue in any combination? Thanks for any help you can provide :)

Welcome and introduction

Hello!
I would like to welcome you to my blog. I have a booth at the Danville Peddler's Mall. I sell new and gently used children's clothing, toys, shoes, videos, and more. My goal in setting up this blog is to save my customers time and money by listing items that I have recently put into my booth. I can also give a heads up for new items that will be going in soon! I'd love to have feedback or if you have any items you are searching for....I'm always on the hunt for a bargain and I may be able to help you out.
I am a stay at home mom and have been running my business since 2005. It gives me (and a lot of my friends) a great place to sell our gently used items to other parents. Plus, it is environmentally friendly to reuse gently used clothing!
